You know these things get leaked to the media, right? It's pretty hard for 2 organizations to make a trade and keep it a secret until it's official lol

Let me put it this way: if the rockets or the suns were in the finals, that trade doesn't happen. Maybe Indiana or OKC would've offered the suns more, but even just from a morale angle, teams that are still playing aren't gonna trade any players away

The trade can't become official until July, so allowing the negotiations and finalizing everything before the season ends means the teams in the playoffs/finals can't commit to trades cuz their players are all still playing.

Soto got on in front of him a lot, and the uptick seems to have started last year. This year is even more cuz Goldy, Grisham, and Rice all reach base at a high rate. It's not just Soto and Judge being consistent, a lot of the team this year have been hitting well.
