Other Survivor updates were made that should help with the Shot in the Dark and Hidden Immunity Idol logic on the smaller New Era tribes. There is now the option not to take the Beware Advantage, and a rare event can occur involving the transferring of the Shot in the Dark.

Survivor 44 does not have Beware Advantages. Instead idols are locked in a tribe birdcage and can be obtained by finding the key. There are new events for this, fake idols, the debut of the Inheritance and Bank Your Vote advantages, and a journey with idols and a tribe swap.

Survivor 43 contains similar New Era elements with 41 and 42 such as Beware Advantages, Shot in the Dark, and Journeys, but the Hourglass and Do or Die twists are no more. You'll notice other slight format and twist differences, and there's a new Choose Your Champion advantage.

Survivor 42 shares the same format as Survivor 41 including the Beware Advantages, Shot in the Dark, and many of the same twists such as the Hourglass and Do or Die. There are some additional stipulations that differ between 41 and 42, and 42 introduces the Amulet Advantage.
