Fantastic #WestMidsAllDayer at Grimley y'day. A day where it felt like anything could drop in at any time. And it did! Knot, Spotted Redshank, 2 Little Gulls, Whinchat, Wheatear, 4+ Spotfly provided one of the best days birding at the site in years. Brilliant company. Great day #WorcsBirds

With the late addition of GBB Gull, Branston’s final total was 97 species.
Branston GP’s for the #WestMidsAllDayer: It looks like we finished on a total of 96 species today. Well done to all the sites taking part and special congratulations to team Blithfield for achieving a record score of 104 species! Thanks to @PMandrews1973 for organising once again.

A quick visit to the Newbold Farm area of Branston GP’s today after a message from Jon W to say that 8x Whinchat were present. After a short wait, the birds showed well. Also a Hobby, Marsh Harrier and 4x Little Egret there. @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social
