This is a good opportunity to reup this thread I put together a while back on how to pitch effectively.
Every editor is different, and many outlets have moved to submissions to online platforms that, to my mind, have resulted in task inflation.
But to the extent you're a freelancer who does any pitching by email, I thought I'd share some brief thoughts on what I consider an effective pitch.

This is a good opportunity to reup this thread I put together a while back on how to pitch effectively.
One could just consider Lapid's thanking Turkey for preventing Iranian attacks on Israelis in Turkey in mid- 2022 and Israel search and rescue teams extracting Turks from the rubble in the aftermath of the 2023 earthquake. Not so long ago.
