I tend to grab whatever to write down notes and ideas. This has led to numerous half filled notebooks, scraps of random paper or the back of envelopes, sticky notes, napkins, etc. I'm trying to condense it all down.

Anyone else haphazard like this? 😅

I'm old skool and I love writing in notebooks. It makes me feel more connected. I also prefer reading physical books for this reason too.
I use a laptop at times and have used audiobooks as well, but not preferred.

Which do you enjoy more - Physical or digital?

It turns out that one of my writing sweet spots is "that's a stupid idea for a story" and/or "that's already been done before." Possibly and possibly, but let me see what I get out of it. The same twelve notes give us Mozart, The Beatles, John Coltrane and Taylor Swift. It's what they do with them.

I'm a visual person so I got myself a whiteboard to outline one of my books. It'll help me "see" the story and organize my thoughts as I've got 2 books right now.

I also started a short story I randomly thought of as well. Let's see how many stories I can have going at once 🤣

The Serpent Sea - 2nd book in her Raksuran series. I am really enjoying this series a lot. Highly recommend 👍

Writers: before you sign a contract with a publisher, make sure AI isn't replacing your illustrator, your translator, your editor, your jacket designer. Readers: if you're thinking of buying a book, do the same. Refuse. Resist. If AI garbage doesn't sell, people will stop making it.
