That's not to say that the Holy Mother 🙏 shouldn't be venerated and offered prayers. Marian devotions will continue. She is, after all, a powerful intercessor. However, Lumen Gentium (60-65) clearly states that her role "should not obscure or diminish the unique mediation of Christ." 2/2
