Actual good things can happen when your legislators care about communities. I’m excited for these bills!
Some genuinely good pieces of legislation on the floor this year. It was exciting to learn about them and discuss with community. There were moments people were in disbelief that we could actually have things like guaranteed mental health insurance coverage. But good policy IS possible.
Tonight we gathered with leaders in our community to discuss several bills being introduced to the state legislature that address root causes of hunger. Community voted on which bills were the most important and narrowed them down to 4 that we plan to endorse and organize around this season. #coleg
