RIP to a legend. The 70s had phenomenal actors, but he has always been my favorite. He was older than his contemporaries, and I think that's because the world wasn't ready for him when he started. So many told him to give up. Instead, he became one of the greats. Gene Hackman, what a life.

Thanks to everyone who attended CineNation's screening of SUNSET BOULEVARD at the Nuart Theatre on Friday night! It was amazing to talk about Billy Wilder's masterpiece before watching it with a fantastic audience celebrating #Noirvember.

Even though the movie predates the traditional film noir movement, it has several qualities of the film noir genre. So, if you want a top-notch film this Noirvember, check out THE THIN MAN. It is a rare rom-com about marriage that happens to be paired with a murder mystery. 📽️

We're going to go back to 1934 with THE THIN MAN. While based on Dashiell Hammett's novel, the film's screenplay was written by married couple Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. They create an incredible foundation to showcase the chemistry of William Powell and Myrna Loy in the film. 📽️
