OP’s post is about inference, which doesn’t consume as much power as people often think. Of course, people are using AI today significantly more than using Google in 09, and training these models consumes a lot of power too. (Which is good and will drive more energy development)

I believe class-based components still work where you can use those kinds of methods, but functional components and useState is definitely the recommended path nowadays.

Webpack configs are a pain. Try esbuild if you haven’t — it’s great
