Today's fey is an evil one from Slavic folklore the Boginka. Found in swamps, rivers, ponds & forests. Most active at noon & night. They have long hair, swollen bellies, long claws, fangs & legs like a duck or dog. If they will kill a man on sight but they love to torture & kill pregnant women

This morning we are discussing the Boggart. Originally from English folklore, particularly the fens of Lincolnshire. They are a malevolent fey that hates the light preferring darkness and shadows. It is said they could attack the mind filling it with terrors and breaking a person maddening them

Today we discuss the basilisk. A very complex & often misunderstood creature. It's pertrifying gaze is actually a mistranslation. What they actually possessed was a deadly venom. So fierce it could travel up the spear of a knight that stabbed them killing the knight and it's horse! A deadly chimera

Today's fey is the Barguest. Also known the Black Dog, Cwn Annwn, Mauthe Dog, Oude Rode Ogen & many more names. These harbingers of death appear as massive black hounds, with glowing eyes, often drapped with chains. If you see one someone will die. If attacked they can cause wounds that never heal

Today let's talk about the Banshee. One of the most terribly protrayed creature from Irish folklore. They were not undead, they were a type of elf. Banshee in Irish literally means fairy woman. A messenger of death if you saw a Banshee a family member was going to die. But they were not responsible

Today's fey could be mistaken for undead but they are not. The bánánaigh from Irish folklore is described as a spectre that appears over battlefields crying out. They would swoop across the heads of warriors giving a terrifying keen which would freeze them in place with fear

Today's fey is the Bagnik, also from Slavic folklore. Described as the most ugly creature in the swamp. They look like an old man, with frog like eyes, a pot belly, green beard & matted hair. They lurk in swamps eating snails waiting for their next victim, overcome by stupifying plants they grow

Today we discuss the Auka, a tiny forest fey described as looking like a plump human. They are tricksters who love to play pranks on humans calling for help who are lost in the woods. Unfortunately this often leads to them getting more lost & dying as the Auka does not understand human fraility
