Ten dancers roam the parish from dawn to dusk: six bearing ancient reindeer antlers, others playing Maid Marian, a hobby horse, a fool, and a bowman, all to the sound of accordion and (newly acquired within the last century) triangle.

Next weekend is a well dressing that's a favourite of ours- the Hartington Dressing! The Central pump is dressed every year.
We actually sell Holy Water from Hartington- but not from these celebratory dressed wells. We travel to Ludwell, which is the running water source with folkloric properties!
