Baby's first #biscornu! Work in progress. This will be a gift exchange for a #crossstitch retreat at the end of the month. Hoping to manage to put it into something actually giftable despite not being able to sew ;)

I've pushed myself to make significant progress on my current #crossstitch WIP, since it's for an exchange gift at a retreat in about 2 weeks! About 85 stitches left on Daisy Chain.

I finished all of the white! Yay!

But. Realized yesterday that I goofed on the count. It's a square design & I didn't measure the diagonal when making the hoop. So the fully stitched design won't fit 🤬

@degroof.bsky.social & I have been playing around with creating some #3dprinted #crossstitch blanks. We're experimenting w/ grid sizes and designing some bookmark & snap in grid frames. I'll do some test stitching to see how it goes, once we've refined them a bit!

I stitch much slower on black fabric, even with 2 strong lamps, plus a lightboard behind the stand 😂
