Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We welcomed members of @adferiad.org and @bipolaruk.bsky.social and the Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) to talk to attendees about their work with us.

LEAP member, Karrina said that advising on the project has been really special.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Larner and Sarah Murphy MS praised the Hub for its commitment to improving outcomes.
Wendy described the world-leading genetics from the Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics and imaging at @cubriccardiff.bsky.social as 'two jewels' in the Hub's crown.

Hub lead, Professor James Walters emphasised that current approaches to mental health diagnosis and treatment often result in a delay in receiving effective treatments and life-changing symptoms from medications. 💊

The Brain and Genomics Hub hopes to change that.

Our first study is investigating ways to improve diagnosis and clinical care for people with psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar and schizoaffective disorder.

We are currently recruiting for a diverse group of 600 people aged 16 to 25 with experience of these conditions.
