Fair, but for my counterpoint: no one wants to watch relief pitchers for half the games, either - who, by their nature are inferior pitchers due to their inability to get batters out on a game to game, week to week, season to season basis

Can I go out on a limb, be the “old man who yells at cloud”, and just say that Major League Baseball as a whole should be ashamed of how they butchered the sport? Not a single pitcher nowadays is physically prepared for the burden of the sport.
