I am not able to fully put into words what bothers me about modern art. Its not representation its good, and we need it.
May be the biger focus on power fantasy, and comfort art.
And the old art was not the best in representation.
I would have to think on it more.

Might be that i prefer the errors that comes from hand drawn art and that the digital art becomes too polished. Thats one aspect.
Another is in the stories told through the art. Its har to fully express it.

But ill state that the new art is not bad. And i am glad you defend it from shitty people.

I would say that such a collection has a multi purpose. Its filled with potential on what can be played.
You support the art. And you get closer to becoming a book wyrm.

Still prefer the older art. Feels more gounded and human. I like amaturish and imperfect art.
A lot of the new stuff feels more "perpetually online". Like the people making it has all their rephrence from some narrow online spaces.
