In terms of U.S. government employees I am having trouble understanding your point. The democrats just voted to keep the government open when they didn’t have to. Could you please explain your position? Thanks!!

It’s also not “responsible” to let someone like me not have a paycheck.

There is a much larger play than “democrats” vs “republicans.” This is my actual livelihood, which is not political. I thank the democrats for realizing this and putting country over party.
