I was asked about a symbol someone received, they found a possible source online. I asked, were they connected to the culture of that symbol, by blood, marriage, land, custom, profession? There needs to be an actual pathway for transmission, it’s YOUR JOB to discover who sent it #occult

I met someone who left the drying machine doors open “to prevent mold” I explained that only applied to washing machines. She did not understand the difference btwn Wet and Hot. Folks do this in magic, they misapply rules. #occult

During my 1st occult teaching. I was shocked that folks saw my ancestors. They saw Chinese folks with swords and people with animal heads. I learned that visions can be shared in a group setting. #evocation #theurgy

Intermediaries are interfaces btwn the divine and humans. They are in charge of a small aspect of that Power. Deities fall under this catagory. #planetarymagic #theurgy

Guardians protect temples where Powers reside and they do so fiercely and absolutely. They will hand your ass to you have no legitimate business with the Power. #planetarymagic #theurgy

Messengers literally deliver messages from a specific power. They may also be enforcers of that power. They may have massive amounts of power but it is ALWAYS bounded by the limits of their office. #planetarymagic #theurgy

Powers are an expression of a kind of power, of many. All magic requires Power. Human beings with their hangups, contraditions and bullshit are NOT equipped to interact with them, unless they do austerities, purification practices. #planetarymagic #theurgy

You need cosmology, it’s a map to understand the spirits you encounter. Spirits occupy a specific part of that map, they do specific roles. Sublunar spirits behave very differently than Supralunar spirits. One is below the Moon, the other is above the Moon. #planetarymagic #theurgy

An important distinction that is often overlooked in magic is the distinction btwn theurgy and thaumathergy. One evokes divine powers, the other, powers of the Earth and below. You maybe drawn to work with either, but know they are NOT THE SAME, not every spirit is divine. #planetarymagic #theurgy
