Deeply grateful to Bayou magazine for publishing these two pieces. "Zuihitsu on the Letter M" will appear in my next book, Turned Earth (LSU Press, 2025). "Beginning with a Moment of Bliss in My Youth" isn't yet part of a book manuscript, so here it is in all its dirty, angry glory.
