We have a place in WNC, outside of Asheville. Until Helene, the area was considered a climate haven. This fall we received 1,000 year flooding. So no, nowhere is safe. As the climate crisis worsens, I suspect mother nature will find new and unanticipated disasters to unleash.

Throughout every football game televised in Oct, the GOP ads portrayed Dems main issue as free gender reassignment surgery for migrant drug-gang members in prison. Allowing the GOP to define Dems for 40 years, with no pushback, is why many core constituents think Dems no longer represent them.

As stated, Democrats have a number of info problems. We need a simple, overarching message which can be backed up with policy. Democrats fight for EVERYONE facing discrimination, including blue collar workers and rural people.

Agreed, TX native, lived in CA & GA. WNC now - this ingredient/definition concept seems impossible for non-Texans to grasp. My wife makes a delicious "chili stew" with beans & tomatoes but it is not "chili." Chili con carne is spices (chili) & meat (beef).
