If they used microSD Express, then definitely, but normal microSD cards are going to be painfully slow compared to onboard storage. Huge bummer they didn't get express on their new devices.

The AI stuff in Windows 11 can be turned off, fwiw. It's not as prevalent as people make it out to be. And Windows 11 really isn't all that different from 10 in the grand scheme of things. Running an unsupported OS in this day and age is very risky, especially one so popular.
