Holiday message from Supervisor Sizemore Heizer which reads: Dear Neighbor, As the year comes to a close and my work on the Board of Supervisors is just beginning, we pause to reflect and to enjoy the holiday season with our families. I always reflect at this time of year on the joy of life. This year, I have deep gratitude for the hardworking staff of the Braddock District office, who kept strong constituent services and clear communication going during the three months when there was no Supervisor in the seat. Their dedication, professionalism, and care brought me joy and appreciation. The residents of Braddock also bring me joy every day. I am thankful to live in such a kind, engaged, and connected community—one that shows up for one another and believes in the power of local service. It is with immense gratitude that I step into this role and have the opportunity to serve you. I am excited to be out in the community—at HOA meetings, school and community events, and neighborhood gatherings—listening, learning, and working together. And if this season brings bittersweet memories or added challenges, please know you are not alone. Our community and our office are here for you, and I wish you peace, comfort, and strength this holiday season. If you’re like me, you may have a set of family traditions to celebrate these or other holidays—some deeply rooted in history, others newer or delightfully unique but all filled with joy. From our staff and me to you, however you choose to celebrate, we hope this season brings you happiness, togetherness, and peace. The Braddock District office will reopen on Monday, December 29, and our next Braddock Beacon newsletter will be published on Friday, January 9. It was the honor of a lifetime to take the oath of office yesterday as the next Braddock District Supervisor. I look forward to the work ahead, and to meeting you out in the community, and to serving you!
