Don't think for a sec this is them being dumb and hapless. The plan is to cause large protests and give them an excuse to order the military to shoot into crowds. I almost think that's an end goal in itself, but it also helps Trump to identify which of the military can serve in his praetorian guard

Years ago, my mom told me how well the SSA person on the phone had helped her navigate her options after her husband died. The help she got and the rep's knowledge was impressive and much needed. Smarts and competence found in real world (vs RW fantasy) govt reps. Sad to think it will be no more.
