The Observatory Mound at the Octagon Earthworks UNESCO World Heritage site. It was called the "Observatory" back in the 1800s simply because it was a high point from which you could see the earthworks. Since the 1980s, the name has a whole new significance. www.newarkadvocate.com/story/opinio...
