As someone that does teach the scientific method, I'd love someone to ask for him to give a brief overview of the method...just so everyone listening understands. I don't think that's a big ask.

Order Strepsiptera, male. I found this little guy in a malaise trap sample last year. First one I'd ever collected and found. It has two pairs of wings, but the front pair are highly modified/reduced to that little thing in front of the wing on the left side.

Described 30+ species of parasitic wasps, produced an updated phylogeny for them, trained as a diplopod systematist producing the first ordinal level phylogeny of familial relationships. I've impacted students for the past 17 years teaching; my 1st research student has been on shark week 5/6 times.
