We rang in 2026 a few days early with some of our youngest patrons during The Nutcracker New Year's Ball!

There were crafts, snacks, and dancing while the 1993 film The Nutcracker (which some patrons were shocked to realize stars Macaulay Culkin!) was on in the background.

All of us at the Bracebridge Library wish a blessed Kwanzaa to all who celebrate!

The annual week-long celebration is inspired by many African cultural practices. It culminates on January 1 with the sharing of gifts and a feast.

Thanks to Bracebridge Library patrons, over 200 seniors had their Christmas wishes fulfilled, and the Manna Food Bank has received nearly 100 boxes and bags of goods.

📣 Free to a good home!

The telephone booth and castle pictured are available for free at the Bracebridge Library on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The booth is HxDxW: 7'7" x 3'3" x 3' and the castle is 5' x 3'. Both are very heavy.

The holiday season is here!

Just like you, staff at the Bracebridge Library will be celebrating with family and friends. We will be open from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. this Friday to allow for a staff meeting and our staff Christmas celebration.

We will re-open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13.

We made our stuffed animals look runway-ready!

We created outfits and accessories for our teddys during Dress-Up Workshop: Teddy & Friends. It was so much fun seeing the creative outfits!

The holiday season is a busy time for everyone - young & old - so an area is set up at the Children's Desk for you to write your letter.

They can be picked up between Friday, Dec. 19 & Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Thank you to everyone who attended Murder at the Library: Popcorn, Peanuts, and Peril. It was a fantastic night filled with thrills, laughs, mystery, and... a ghost!?

The Bracebridge Library was transformed into Merriweather's Marvellous Menagerie, a 1950s-era circus, for the event.
