Do I know russia or the russian mentality? After working there on and off from 1997 to 2005: CPC pipeline (Krasnodar to Stavropol section) BPS pipeline (near the Kirishi rifinery) and 7 winters near Surgut/Nefteyugansk/Khanty-Mansiysk (Priobskoye oil field) I think I do.

When I took this picture in the summer of 2021, never could I have imagined that these types of planes would be used against Ukraine and that a Patriot battery would be stationed at this exact location defending against missiles fired by these planes....
