Tom this is/was, seemingly at its heart, an argument about rhetoric more than outcomes. Biden, Obama and Clinton each deported far more people from the US in each of their first terms than Trump, Bush the latter and Bush the former. So is it that the rhetoric should have been bathed in nativism?
