On #WPOD we’re announcing the launch of our new special interest groups (SIGs). Our recent annual conference started with a fantastic workshop to discuss the creation of these groups. The first of our SIGs will focus on personalised care and Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) cancer. Members - keep an eye out for more information and chances to get involved. Not a member? Join today!

Did you know that today is the inaugural World Psycho-Oncology Day (#WPOD)?
Did you know that today is the inaugural World Psycho-Oncology Day? #WPOD. It’s designed to highlight psycho-oncology, engage our stakeholders and prompt action. BPOS works to increase awareness, education and research within psycho-oncology to ultimately improve the wellbeing of those affected by cancer. Our membership features academics, clinicians, patients and practitioners from different disciplines who are all working to advance this mission. We’re using this as a chance to highlight some of the work our members do, starting with our recent conference prize recipients: Best oral presentation: Dr James Rathbone, Improving outcomes in psycho-oncology services through innovative service design and delivery: implementing and evaluating a new approach Best flash talk: Deborah Critoph, "I did it to protect them": Young people, supporters and healthcare professionals experiences of triadic communication Best poster: Grant Punnett, The development of a Patient Reported Outcome Measure (PROM) in the Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) setting Delegate choice best poster: Lana Cook, Understanding the Lived Experiences of People Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in Northern Ireland: A Study Protocol for a Grounded Theory Approach Our prize winners from left to right - Grant Punnett, James Rathbone, Lana Cook
