Do we have any transfer wiggle room in January to bring players in or do we have to sell?

@barryglendenning.bsky.social 16 days is a long time in Football 😉

The Goodison effect is a myth. We have barely won more than 5 games a season in last few seasons.
August 14, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Haha sure come back to me in a month. I might have a completely different opinion 😂
August 13, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Completely entitled to your opinion but I think by the end of the transfer window and couple of additions ie Right Back and Right Wing it will be comfortably mid table. Defence is too good and JOB is doing a great job playing out of position and better than most natural RB’s in the league.

Considered we have finished with 48 points comfortably the last 2 seasons with all the chaos around the club it with take a serious drop off for us to be involved in a relegation fight and the owners to let it drift that far. JG is a risk but being cast out by City is not exactly a walk of shame.

Dewsbury-Hall was relegated along with James Maddison and still not sure how. Is he considered a bad player? Did extremely well in the Championship resulting in Chelsea signing him. The only reason he has left Chelsea as they stock pile players. Dibling one of the top prospects in the game.
August 13, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Some awful takes, used to listen to it religiously and football weekly but outside the top 6 analysis it’s basically 5 minutes a week and very poor analysis. No research done.
August 13, 2025 at 1:13 PM
You mentioned McNeil as a good signing and yes I agree but now a good squad option from the bench. Live the pod but Jaysus lads, outside the the so called top 6 analysis it’s very badly researched.
August 13, 2025 at 1:10 PM
Have a word Max with the so called experts, Everton 19th 😂. Replacing DCl, Jack Harrison and Doucoure with Barry, Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall and Dibling on the way. Last seasons 4th best defence and now we have genuine options going forward.
August 13, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Ah Barry I’m not sure much research went into the your prediction for Everton. 19th 😂. Last years 4th best defence and now stronger going forward and more signings to come. Even if Grealish doesn’t work out there is plenty to get excited about with who we have signed this summer.

Lads, it’s the West Ham post match uploaded on Apple Podcasts.

We are miles apart. Just get this season over with and put the last 4 horrific years behind us.

Dyche had zero pull, everyone knew he was going. Expect that to change with Moyes as he has so much respect in the game. Think there might be a couple of surprises.
January 11, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Dyche did a decent job but I think he lived off the negativity. He had nobody to answer to for so long so it suited him. Once the new owners came in that changed. Everton are not Burnley, standards were being lowered season after season and that could not be tolerated. Negative defensive football.
January 11, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Too big a fee so you move on. Still very concerned that we can’t spend anything. 4 loan signings in summer, 1 permanent signing with very low down payment. It has been like this for 5/6 transfer windows now. We have been shedding players on big money for 2/3 years now. When are we out of this cycle
January 8, 2025 at 10:38 PM
Reading the Villa fans comments they don’t appear too disappointed and are delighted with the fee.
January 8, 2025 at 10:32 PM
The Wolves manager bounce is over. They have a shocking run of games coming up.
January 6, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Perfect scenario Dyche or a short term appointment keeps us up and we reset completely as a club in the summer and take some risks.
January 5, 2025 at 8:39 PM
10 wins and a few draws keeps you up each year. To have only 3 wins at the half way point is shocking and got previous managers sacked. All it takes is for one team to go on a run and we are done.
January 5, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Keeping Dyche gives the bottom 3 a chance. 3 wins in 19 games is a disgrace and got Lampard sacked. We have nothing going forward and we are hoping for a clean sheet and to nick a goal from a set piece.
January 5, 2025 at 8:00 PM
I’d love to take the risk but it would be madness in our position.
January 5, 2025 at 7:57 PM
We are in a very precarious position now. Potter will not get a tune out of these players. Squad is so limited but that is still no excuse for what is being served up. I’d give it to Moyes for 18 months. Hopefully give us some stability and then we can reassess.

@efclyndon.bsky.social is Toffeeweb going away or are you combining the sites?
