I walked the east rim and only saw one couple over a few km, lovely walk.

It’s the time of year for them.

To be fair the limestone plateau has looked like this for centuries with only the ravine woodlands remaining in the white peak. Some really good examples of species rich grasslands though (it’s not all about trees)with nature positive schemes.Unfortunately much of the plateau is intensively grazed.

Get some great skies in this part of Derbyshire.

Roystone rocks are pretty special.

Some great spots on the fringes of the Peak. Brassington is a nice village too.

Despite living only 20 mins away for 30 years it’s the first time I’ve visited!
