Just tried phoenix.new and got really disappointed. You are billed per credit and your “subscription” is flat amount of credits. This is not obvious at all when signing up. You burn through your monthly subscription in 3 hours of usage. Add some big ticker in the ide showing this (1/2)

I can recommend Elixir/Phoenix courses from pragmaticstudio.com. Pace is great, I’ve had a fair share of a-ha moments, and there are plenty of exercises to test whether you’ve really learned something. I’ve just finished the Elixir/OTP one, and going through Phoenix now. You can grab a 40% discount
