Now that I'm really going down memory lane, were any of my projects polished? The game I had a whole month to work on? No. The game I had a whole semester to work on? No.

By game jams I mean, the assignments I did for a community college class (that were done on a game jam timeframe, on purpose). Yup, that's me, the dumbass who did that for two years instead of anything else in life.

I realize now the "game jams" I did in the past were awful, unpolished trash (being honest), and that I need to unlearn those lessons with better ones.

This is why you improve on game jam ideas, getting to the fun bit, tweaking, and adding juice faster. But I've done my time in game jams right? I don't have to do small ideas anymore, right? I can do bigger things now, right? I can handle the increased scope now, right? Nope.

Oh, and by next project I mean I'm doing my own TOP but it's game programming. And if I ever want someone else to follow the roadmap (which is heavily based on the roadmap I went through at college) I should be able to do all of them myself.

Definitely don't think someone new to programming should do that game tho. It does teach state tracking very well, but maybe there's another one that could be used...

Reminds me of when I made battleship during the odin project. I never programmed that "simple" game before, but the underlying problems that arose were so fun to solve for I had a great time.

Next one's arkanoid. Funnily never programmed a clone of that.
