The No Face

The Manticore is a legendary creature from Persian mythology, later appearing in medieval bestiaries. It is described as having the body of a lion, the tail of a scorpion, and sometimes wings. The Manticore reflects ancient attempts to explain and personify the dangers of the unknown.
