So protected bike lanes and intersections? Traffic calming? Modal filters?

In other news, I took a nice little trip down the coast by bike and train. Highly recommend.

New report in The Atlantic finds not only is ICE going after hard-working immigrants who are mostly just trying to feed their families, they’ve shelved actual criminal investigations for what amounts to indiscriminate racial profiling under Stephen Miller’s racist anti-immigrant crusade.

My little town showed up for the No Kings rally today. Great energy and lots of enthusiastic support from passing cars. Thanks to my congressional Rep @chu.house.gov for showing up in support.

What I’m seeing is largely nonviolent civil disobedience in LA. Blocking traffic is not “insurrection.”

I got my passion for biking from my mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms, but especially the moms who bike.

Rode over to the #HandsOff protest in Pasadena with my daughter. Great signs, positive energy, lots of support, and a reminder that democracy is stronger than fascism.

In news that doesn’t suck, I attended a workshop for a planned redesign of Colorado Blvd in Arcadia last night where there was overwhelming support for protected bike lanes on this complete streets project!

Pasadena has over 900 mi of car lanes and only 3 mi of protected bike lanes, yet the Mayor and some NIMBYs are complaining about the protected bike lanes. Such complaints shouldn’t be taken seriously. H/t @pasadenacsc.bsky.social

Cleaning out some old bookshelves today and I came across this route map and schedule from 1989. If you’re interested, DM me your address and I’ll mail it to you for your collection. Consider it a belated birthday gift!
