Yes it is a McDonald’s, but it is one at a truck stop that is designed to make it look like it is rail cars so I actually enjoyed it as our designated lunch break.

And my rage quota for the day is full after reading about the vandalism against the Denver LGBT Center. Their email.
Early Saturday morning, The Center on Colfax experienced an act of vandalism when an individual threw a large rock and attempted to shatter three of our front windows near the main entrance. The incident triggered our alarm system, and the person fled before police arrived. Denver Police investigated and confirmed this as a criminal act. Our security footage captured video and images of the attack. It was purposeful. As a community, we know that these moments are not simply random acts of mischief. While we may never know the intent behind this vandalism, we understand it within a broader history of attacks and intimidation that our community has faced. So, what does this mean for us at The Center? Out of caution, we canceled Saturday morning programming, but we will not be canceling any future programming. Our commitment is unwavering — this is what resilience looks like. We will not disappear. You will notice that our front windows are currently boarded up as we work toward repairs and make additional investments in safety and security. We know these changes can be difficult and even triggering to see. Please know that these decisions are made with deep care and reflection. Unfortunately, we are in a time when we must prioritize security in new and more visible ways - but we will do so while continuing to center community, connection, and care. Across those boards, we have painted words that speak to who we are and what we believe: "You won't break our soul" and "Broken windows never break community." These messages are not just declarations - they are reflections of our mission: to engage, empower, enrich, and advance the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community of
