there’s a lot of existential dread in hereditary mental illness. i had no say in being born with a bad mind that makes my life harder than it should be. but however slowly, i do get to take some control. maybe i can live the life i want to someday.

i’m in a bad bout right now, having a really hard time with self esteem and self care, but i’m also going on walks and reading books and doing art and it’s not so hard this time. i used to not be able to do that. it’s nice.
