1/ It depends on the part, material you choose, and if you care for it. The modern designs are quite robust. The decker for example can generate some plastic on plastic wear, but grease brings that to a minimum. They're strong enough that rebels are using them against fascists in myanamr in combat.

Actually, you can just build them at home, using ZERO factory gun parts, thanks to 3D printing. Check out this Decker with an FRT here as a good example. Build using no special skills and cost about $80 to make. You can learn more at ctrlpew.com/gatting-star...

In the perlance of the the 1790s, "Well Regulated" meant 'in good working order, able to fulfill function'. It didn't mean 'has lots of laws limiting the use of.'

How can you claim to be a tech "entrepreneur" and not see how awesome this is? This is the entire purpose of open source, to undermine the means of control. Just ask the rebels in Myanmar who are 3d printing them for actual combat!

3D print your own guns at home! That way gun companies don't get any of the profits, and you still can have all the guns you want! It's a win-win!
