The new president of Venezuela appears to be Maduro's wife who supported basically the same policies, so I doubt the human rights situation for Venezuelans will actually improve, I'd love to be proven wrong but I think this only changes who Venezuela allies with, not how it is run internally.

Can vouch. There's a reason I've been playing Metroid Planets on a weekly basis for the better part of a year now during races. The endless variety means you will never get bored, and the endless customization means you can either curate to the best of the best (like Tibs' MIM), or go full random.

Also wanted to comment on this, I wholeheartedly agree. I may not like/disagree with which candidate you voted for, or the fact you use and support generative AI, but those are completely unrelated to the validity of anything you say about anything else.

Haha neat. I'd do the same if it weren't for religous views preventing me from saying mean things directly to or about anyone. But another part of my view is to serve, not control/influence others, so I have no problem with others going on the offensive against extremists

I mean as someone who's Christian and wants to abolish the death penalty, anyone who celebrates or encourages the murder or death of anyone they disagree with politically is despicable and I don't care what they say about me, I want nothing to do with them.

Yeah now I'm genuinely focused on learning the actual facts instead of just blindly saying I hate the left or the right because "my side is always right and their side is always wrong". Far too much of that, tribalism has gone too far and Kirk's assassin being an extremist on the left shows that.

Honestly I'd not be surprised if none of the Straw Hats (other than Brook who's already older than that) live past 50 years old with that diet. At least they get plenty of exercise when they nearly die multiple times

I mean granted the Straw Hats don't have a very healthy diet to begin with tbh. It has a lot of sake, cola (thanks to Franky), and for Luffy and Zoro especially plenty of red meat that appears extremely raw. The only healthy foods they eat are the citrus fruits Nami grows and fish.

Agreed. I'm autistic, I don't feel comfortable with hearing the r word and I would politely ask someone to stop making jokes with it, but it is not the same as Ableism. Making edgy jokes that make someone uncomfortable is different from "extreme hatred and fear, or discrimination against disabled"

Indeed. Mostly out of curiosity. Just going to say it right here for everyone to see (including Tibs). I have strong political stances, many might differ from my friends and family, but I respect and am willing to support anyone with a commitment to nuance and facts,neither of which the extremes are

If Tibs had definitively made up his mind that he hates trans people he wouldn't have tried having a thoughtful discussion with you, but he did try having that discussion, therefore he isn't a bigot. Simple as that

I agree, in regards to actual bigots and Nazis. The issue is that you accused Tibs and Dev of being bigoted assholes when they tried engaging and discussing important issues with you with facts and nuance. They might be in favor of capitalism, and you can disagree, but that doesn't make them nazis

Bigots consistently refuse to ever interact with or discuss issues with the people they aim to marginalize, and actively try to harm the lives of vulnerable people. The fact Tibs was trying to discuss issues with you at all and debate them is proof he is not a bigot in my book
