I got this mug back from the kiln yesterday and love how the glaze came out, but I didn’t write down what I did!! Pretty sure it’s frosted lemon, sunburst flux, and peacock. It’s giving dreamy sky vibes. Going to try to reproduce this with more intentional results. #pottery #kilngods

She’s not perfect but she’s my first 10 pound piece. If I keep her under plastic for 24 hours, can I try to refine the shape? I want to push the sides out more near the bottom and collar in a nice long neck. #pottery #wheelthrown

Signed up for an intermediate throwing class to push myself to learn new skills. We threw some closed forms last week. Obsessed! If anyone needs me I’ll be making 100 somethings with this new skill. Future salt/pepper shakers and a random donut unlocked.

Threw two 4.5 pound bowls tonight. Largest amount in one throw yet and I’m so pleased with them. One will be a serving bowl and one will be turned into a colander. 2 pound bowl next to them for scale.

Tried mugs for the first time and carving designs into the clay. I love the carving process and can’t wait to pick up some better tools. Handles are hard. Wow. Going to need to do that about 100 times before I’m comfortable.
