The computer I was issued for my first job out of college had the same specs. It was a Dell 286, 640k memory, 40MB hard drive, and 5 1/4 floppy. That was 1989.

I had the Timex Sinclair 1000. It came with 2k of memory, and I purchased the 16k expansion module. The expansion module plugged into the back, but it didn't fit snuggly and sometimes came out, causing me to lose my work. Saving and loading to cassette didn't always work so well.
