Full restoration of this #parker #duofold #fountainpen
Laser weld repair of cracked 14K nib. New ink sac. New pressure bar. Cleaned and polished. The old ink sac was mummified inside and had to be fully scraped out. The nib is very flexible with lots of line weight possibilities. #pen #restoration

Newest distraction, an old Wearever pen. This was part of a lot I bought online. Didn’t think much of Wearever, but it was an easy restoration and is a solid pen. They used to be the most produced #fountainpens, cheap, but solid. #fountainpen #pen

Lost my sweet girl a year ago today. Still heart broken. She was an angel who just showed up one day. I’ve never known a more loving being.

How I’m distracting myself; I got into restoring antique fountain pens. This is a Parker Duofold. About 95 years old. I should have documented more, but here are before and after pics (not in any order, but I think you can tell) #fountainpen #duofold #parker #pen

Hike today in Bear Run, SW PA. So beautiful. Right across from where Falling Water is. #hike #nature

Sharing one of my favorite authors John Varley. Written in 1992, Steel Beach still holds up. This book is worth checking out for so many reasons, not least of which is the impact of technology on the human race. #blueskybooks

A little over a year ago we were celebrating New Years in Japan. I loved every bit of the experience of visiting Narita park and Shinsho-Ji temple. The shared experience with so many people was wonderful

First post here should be from the Arctic. 3rd largest ice cap in the world with a stunning waterfall view. Our captain got us right up against it. It was beautiful. #arctic #arcticcircle
