That’s a local story back home, haunting me my whole life!

I have woken up at 430 and all I can think about now is the overwhelming amount of work waiting for me so I should just get up and go, despite not having had enough sleep and the alarm won’t go off for another hour+.

Sigh. Again, may this era ebb. It’s been 11 months and it’s just getting worse 😭

Even if adults decided to have a boat load of children they can't afford, I still don't think children should be made to suffer because their parents made those choices. The state should absolutely help because that's what taxes should be for.

I did get sympathy Oreos from my colleague though, so it wasn’t all bad! (It was an 11 hour day, it wasn’t tremendously great either)

I hope this is just temporary! The older info is there but they're calling it '2020', which is...old...everything for 2025 is just the EU.

I always work Christmas, everyone else's family is either here or just over in Europe, so I'm happy to work so that they can see them. But last year I said "just this once, I'm going to have a family Christmas next year." One colleague was even mad at me but I did not budge, no no, this is my year!
