“Leave politics out of books!” — proceeds to list books with HEAVY themes of patriarchy, oppression, racism, sexism, war, LGBTQ rights, etc. I swear I saw a TikTok saying not to talk about politics with the poppy war…THE BOOK BASED ON 20TH CENTURY CHINESE POLITICS AND WAR?????

I say acotar is romance with a side of fantasy, and TOG is fantasy with a side of romance

I know I’m biased cause I’ve read the series 3 times now, but the first half and second half of the series definitely have different vibes, once you get into more characters and deeper backgrounds, to me, it’s more enjoyable. Power through, it might become a favorite series like it did for me!
