Finally fixing up the back wheel on my Kona Sutra. Broke a spoke touring in Spain in June.
Broke the first replacement spoke at the nipple. Ugh. Extra Lind Seed Oil on the next one. Got it pretty much in True after 1.5 hours.

DIY session at Community Cycles.
Finally fixing up the back wheel on my Kona Sutra. Broke a spoke touring in Spain in June.
Broke the first replacement spoke at the nipple. Ugh. Extra Lind Seed Oil on the next one. Got it pretty much in True after 1.5 hours.

Cassette Tool needed. Stopped at little bike/hiking shop, CERVERASPORT, in Cervera de Pisuerga, Palencia, Spain. Owner/Mechanic got the gears shifting smoothly again for €5!

Picos de Europa. Biked up the valley to Potes then an extra 100 meters up to the campground. Beautiful country. Had a late lunch with Cidra, the local specialty! Muy Bueno.

Day 1 of bike tour of NW Spain with mi amigo Jeff. Santiago de Campo to campground on the beach near Arteixo. 69km & 1100m of climbing. Mostly on quiet back roads! First time touring in Spain. Great so far.

Starting May 5, the Fourmile Link Trail at Betasso Preserve will be closed from Fourmile Canyon Drive to the creek. Boulder County Parks & Open Space crews are replacing the wooden stairs with stone. No access to Betasso via Fourmile Canyon Rd.
