Very important update: the Baby Cat is sleeping by the fire and crossed her back paws.

September reads, hot off the presses! Some real bangers in here. The number of times I audibly said "what the whhhhhhhhat" while reading "Veritas" was bananas.

And I finally read "Flowers in the Attic" and I just have to say: what the actual fuck. Truly. What.

Ruj is my most perfect boy and my actual child, and Esme is our little sugar floof supermodel.

And then there's Baby Cat, who is smarter than all of us and just goes around being tiny and bossy and getting every single thing she wants.

Esme (left) loves to stick her head under any running water, but isn't remotely interested in me in the shower. Ruj (right) is getting old and freaks out when I get in the shower bc he can't find me.

The only thing we quote as frequently as Bob's Burgers or The Great North in our house is the Brenda AI obituary. But some of these AI president lists are rapidly making their way into circulation.

July reads! Faves in bold, as usual. I learned A LOT this month, but Patric Gagne's book was a particular standout.

And where is the biopic of Dorothy Kilgallen?? And why had I never heard of her??

I made pizza last night for the first time in a while. Left is ground beef, bacon, green olives, green pepper, and mushroom. Right is thick-cut pepperoni. Both use King Arthur Neapolitan crust recipe

Today's deer hangout.

This lil deer family not only migrates through our yard, but has taken to lounging around, even when we're working in the yard. The baby was jumping 😭

April reading roundup! Faves in bold.

An additional comment this month: The Spider and the Fly was among the most upsetting books I've ever read and I honestly think its publication was a mistake. Just profoundly unethical.

Fat cat Friday, y'all!!

Late on my reading list for March! As you can see, it was a banger of a month. Honestly, I probably could have bolded every book. I will happily recommend any of these, but a particular standout was Michael Harriot's BLACK AF HISTORY. Truly I want to write half as well.
