Honestly, you're right that I should have posted it elsewhere. I think it goes much deeper then taste and all art is open to be criticized, but it was rude of me to leave such a sarcastic comment under this post. Pretty unproductive of me.

Those who like non-con get really defensive when challenged, though. Meanwhile, I have felt homeless in communities that should be my safe spaces for almost a decade now, and I am allowed to call out the consistent problems I've seen and experienced in that time.

Additionally, if I were to ignore or block every tickle artist who is like this, there would be none left. When I talked to you last, my points were mostly ignored, and I have no interest in trying twice with someone who doesn't care. You are allowed to make what you want, just as I can question it.

I've already butted heads with you on this. I won't sit here and tell you who to be, what to do, or claim I'm correct on everything, but if you think that such things are mere preferences and don't represent the person making the art in any way, there's no use trying to converse with you.

As an ace person, tkling is MY ultimate form of affection. Its my love language, it swoons me, it means so, so very much to me and getting to participate in or gush about it makes me feel whole inside.

I think I'm asexual bc my heart knew, from day one, that true love leaves you in hysterics~ (3/3)

Tickles, no matter if they're soft or intense, carry so much of the closeness, physical affection, tenderness, love, and general intimacy that sex can give non-ace people. It even elicits gleeful sounds like sex does. Arguably more since making your partner laugh is the literal goal! (2/3)

I know, I'm over thinking it. A lot. I understand that learning any form of creative expression is about finding what works for YOU, and maybe I just have to throw pencils at the wall until one sticks. All I can do is worry about screwing something up first thing, though.

Every tutorial makes me feel like I'm gonna learn THAT person's method as opposed to the most intuitive or "correct" way to begin. But how can I know what's intuitive when there's no clear "step 1" to test the waters with? What if I learn the basics wrong and ingrain bad habits from the beginning?

You learn how to write the alphabet as a kid, then you take those building blocks, make bigger blocks called words, and keep on from there. What's the equivalent for visual art? Do I start learning specific techniques or just eyeball it? If it's the former, which techniques?
