During his time at the pillowhouse in Ul'dah, Aerik regularly found himself dressing up in different attire for various clients tastes.
He always enjoyed the times they wanted him in a nice suit. It was so much more fun to take it off for them.

Sometimes a relaxing break is what an adventurer needs, and one of Aerik's ways to relax and pass the time is to find a serene spot to fish. The shoreline of Bronze Lake may be dotted with Nymian ruins, but they make for an excellent casting spot.

Eventually in ShB I leaned into the idea and actually cosplayed as Iskandar for a while — although Aerik kept his new pineapple hair.

It mainly happened with his original hairstyle but I’ve had a LOT of people tell me that Aerik reminds them of Iskandar/Rider from Fate Zero.
Absolutely never intended (I made Aerik in 2010, before the Fate/Zero anime even existed) but it IS kind of uncanny. They even have similar personalities.
