I liked 'Benton Blue Tit' which referenced it's pollination of Fritillaria imaperialis with the ripening capsules among the late spring flowers

Benton End Tit in Garden to Canvas: Cedric Morris & Benton End www.philipmound.com What do you see? Blue Tit feeding on Allium seeds. Just one other plant is setting seed, Fritillaria imperialis which 6 wks earlier the Blue Tit would have sipped its nectar and pollinated its flowers.

Fritillaria meleagris flower numbers down on Iffley Meadows, Oxford, with a very dry spring and warm sunny days. Also flower timing has narrowed between dryer northern and moist southern section
