I used to write for a university-run satire magazine and most of us had lemon-related nicknames because of the magazine’s name. I quite liked mine so I kept it.

When I was in high school, my Calculus teacher, who inspired me to be a math teacher, had an AOL Instant Messenger account (it was a different time) of "Mathgod666."
I joked with him that I wouldn't get to be a math god until I was a teacher, so I was only a demigod.
It stuck.

The root of name 'Mu5h' stems back to 2001, it was my handle on the GameFAQs message boards before social media was around. It was always either Mu5hroom or Mu5h. It became NuclearMu5hroom when I got into Fallout and joined the community in 2016
