think all of that is understandable. But was silence not an option? Silence to me was not grieving with people. I felt it was important, as someone who is liberal, as someone who has a voice, that there are moments like that. I really do feel - and it's funny, because you said something like this in your piece, but it was a little bit more offhand: Political violence is an attack on us all. And in that moment, even if it's very temporary, it's important to come together, to try to see other people in their grief, to try to cool things down just a little bit. Given everything you read that Charlie Kirk said — and we probably don't have very different views on the value of the things he said — why do you think he was winning?
